When you’re feeling down about working, remind yourself of the reasons you like it. A few of my favorite things: Belting out Journey tunes (among others) during my commute to and from work. Going out to lunch downtown with friends. Chatting with a variety of funny, smart, interesting people with different perspectives on the world. Brainstorming ideas for clients. Getting paid every two weeks. It gives me another “identity” other than wife, mom and friend.
